To support high school students in completing Red River Promise and NCTC enrollment requirements through outreach and individualized assistance.
Responsibilities include assisting students with admissions, FAFSA, scholarships, document submission, and community service requirements; conducting outreach and support visits at local high schools; maintaining communication with students and school partners; and providing administrative, event, and operational support for Red River Promise programs and activities.
This is part-time, with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Applicants must have applied for financial aid and have financial need, including enrollment at NCTC.

  • Assist high school students with completing Red River Promise and NCTC enrollment requirements, including admissions, FAFSA, scholarships, registration, and community service documentation.
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up with students through phone, email, text, and in-person communication.
  • Visit local high schools to provide individualized assistance, answer questions, and support college-going initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with students, school counselors, and campus partners.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, setup, execution, and cleanup of Red River Promise events, presentations, pledge rallies, workshops, and recruitment activities.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute program materials and supplies for events and outreach activities.
  • Provide general office support, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Assist with managing calendars, communications, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Load, unload, transport, and set up materials and equipment for events and high school visits.
  • Assist students and visitors with questions regarding Red River Promise and NCTC services.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate records while representing NCTC and Red River Promise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have applied for financial aid and have financial need, including enrollment at NCTC.
Travel Required: Could be expected to travel to Callisburg HS, Gainesville HS, or Valley View HS weekly for school visits.
This is part-time, with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Hours may vary during the workweek, Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, based on departmental needs with evening events as scheduled, pending availability and adjustment of your regular schedule to accommodate the 19-hour limit.
