Job description

The hiring range for this opportunity is $120,000 to $150,000 annual salary along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Position Summary
Responsible for managing complex relationships and resolution strategies for the Bank's problem loan portfolio, including collection, restructuring, liquidation, and litigation support activities. The role evaluates credit risk, develops workout strategies, and ensures regulatory compliance while maximizing recovery outcomes. This position collaborates with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and borrowers to mitigate losses and resolve complex credit issues.
Essential Duties
  • Analyzes high-risk commercial loan portfolios, including financial, collateral, structural, and legal risks, to determine optimal workout strategies.
  • Develops and negotiates restructuring and collection strategies with borrowers to maximize recovery and minimize loss exposure.
  • Analyzes borrower financial condition, loan documentation, and collateral to determine repayment capacity and identify deficiencies.
  • Monitors borrower performance, workout plans, and account activity to ensure timely repayment and identify emerging risks.
  • Directs liquidation activities, including foreclosure of real property and disposition of non-real estate collateral assets.
  • Coordinates with internal departments, legal counsel, consultants, and external stakeholders to execute workout and litigation strategies.
  • Identifies and reports credit risk indicators, including risk ratings, nonaccrual status, and troubled debt restructures (TDRs).
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and legal standards in all restructuring, collection, and bankruptcy activities.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree
    • Field of Study: Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline

Skills and Knowledge
  • 5 - 8 years: Extensive experience in special assets, commercial lending, or loan workout functions.
  • Advanced ability to analyze complex commercial credits, including financial statements, cash flow, and collateral valuation.
  • Proven ability to structure and negotiate loan workouts, restructures, and liquidation strategies with borrowers.
  • Knowledge of secured and unsecured lending practices, loan documentation, regulatory requirements, and basic understanding of current bankruptcy laws pertaining to Chapters 13, 12, 11, and 7.
  • Experience working with legal processes such as bankruptcy, litigation, and foreclosure proceedings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, regulators, and external advisors.
