  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FRA), company policies, and roadway worker protection rules; maintain accurate documentation and inspection reports.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, and resource allocations; prepare and manage project budgets and material procurement.
  • Lead incident response and emergency recovery efforts, coordinating resources and communicating status to dispatch, management, and stakeholders.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance management for supervisors and field personnel; promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, dispatch, and external stakeholders (contractors, municipalities, shippers) to minimize service disruptions and optimize project execution.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports, safety records, and project updates; track KPIs and recommend process improvements.
  • Operate and inspect maintenance equipment as needed and ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of machinery and tools.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with project planning, crew scheduling, contractor oversight, and budget management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate field personnel and enforce safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently between job sites and work extended/after-hours as required; valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
