Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Rad Technologist with ARRT certification and recent C-arm/OR experience for a long-term travel assignment.

Details
  • Work in the Diagnostic Imaging department of a hospital setting
  • Perform routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable x-ray examinations
  • 4x10 hour AM shifts, 40 hours per week, from 0700-1730, Friday-Monday
  • Utilizes Shimadzu portable and Rad Speed Pro C-arm equipment
  • Uses PACS, RIS, and Epic EMR
  • On-call requirement
Requirements
  • ARRT certification required
  • Washington State certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in X-Ray required
  • BLS certification required
  • Recent C-arm/OR experience required
  • Shimadzu portable equipment experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • Prepare for and perform all x-ray examinations including routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable studies
  • Operate and effectively utilize x-ray room, portable, and OR x-ray equipment
  • Review and evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality
  • Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic procedures and may perform minor fluoroscopic procedures under their direction per certification scope
  • Provide direct training and supervision to student technologists alongside the clinical instructor
  • Complete required documentation for each examination performed
  • Lift and transfer patients safely using proper ergonomic technique and safe patient handling devices
  • Communicate with patients' family members or caregivers as needed
  • Knowledge of ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely principles required
