Job Description:
WellFlorida is one of the state's 11 local health councils, a network of nonprofit agencies that conduct district health planning and implementation activities, collect regional health data and disseminate materials promoting safety net healthcare services. Our district includes the following 16 counties: Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Marion, Putnam, Sumter, Suwannee and Union.
The federal work study administrative/assistant position is responsible for supporting WellFlorida's fiscal and administrative services team with administrative/office tasks along with supporting other programs and departments when needed. Public health projects can also be discussed and worked on if approved by management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this position without accommodation.   • Copying and scanning invoices and important documents
  • Filing invoices and other documents as needed
  • Sorting, organizing and shredding Documents as needed
  • Preparing materials to be distributed at events/ meetings
  • Assist staff with deliveries and visitors
  • Works closely with fiscal and administrative services team but may work with other programs/departments as needed
  • Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Other duties and projects may be assigned

Expected Salary:
$14/hour
Minimum Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of 2.5 Cumulative GPA
• Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the University
• Must receive or be eligible to receive Federal Work Study
• Must be able to work within our operating hours. (Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm)
• Must bring course schedule on first day since shifts scheduled around course schedule

  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, compassionate and detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to both work independently and as part of a team.

  • Sound judgment in meeting the responsibilities and performing the duties of the position.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to maintain stationary position for at least 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, copy machines, printers and front door.
  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
  • Must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Must have the ability to exchange accurate information with management and other employees.
  • Must have the ability to observe details including inspecting, assessing and determining details/information.
  • Must have the ability to focus and read forms and instructions for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to bend, stretch and reach for items as needed.
  • Must have the ability to walk short distances.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
