General Maintenance Tech III
Location: Greenville, SC 29615
Shift: 1st Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, M-F) | Overtime, weekends, or holidays may be required based on demand.
Pay Rate: $25.00/Hr (W-2)
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
 
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Maintenance Technician III to join our 1st shift facility maintenance team. This role provides advanced-level expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on industrial/commercial facility and utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair critical building equipment including pumps, fans, cranes, heat exchangers, valves, air handling units, compressors, and exhaust systems.
  • Plumbing & Pipefitting: Cut, thread, and plumb pipes of various types and sizes (PVC, Copper, black iron, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting: Respond to facility work orders, analyze mechanical problems, and execute effective repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and strict safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and plumbing within a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading/understanding repair manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs frequently, and stand/walk extensively throughout the shift.
  • Compliance & Credentials:
    • U.S. Citizenship is required (for facility security credentials).
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Technology, Industrial Mechanical, or a related field.
  • Specific experience with industrial pipefitting.
  • Prior experience maintaining steam and hot water boilers.
