Job Description
This posting is to establish a pool of qualified applicants. The department may not be actively recruiting. Applications submitted will remain active for up to one (1) year. San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Federal Work Study, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. If there is an interest and/or need within the specific department, applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted by the respective department manager.
  • Should the department be interested in interviewing you, you will be contacted by the department with the information provided in your application.
  • Student worker will assist in providing program related general support and assistance to faculty, staff and students. Must have ability to work with a diverse student population.
  • Student worker will assist with PowerPoint and other projects.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Student must have in possession a Federal Work Study award letter for the current academic year.
  • Student cannot fall below half-time (6+ unites) during their employment under the FWS program.
  • Student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Student must have a current TB
  • Ability to follow directions in order to carry out the duties as assigned
  • Familiarity with various equipment/tools used in the program and/or have completed some courses in the specific program or related fields.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Responsible
  • Knowledge of "Universal Design" and/or experience with graphic design preferred.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

  • Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment
