Overview

Oversees the daily operations and management of hospice room and board services. Supervises staff, coordinates patient accommodations, ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, and supports the comfort and well-being of hospice patients in residential settings.

Responsibilities
    Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly activities of Revenue Cycle Analysts, including inpatient Medicaid authorizations, facility invoicing and repricing, accounts payable reconciliation and approval, invoice submission, and inpatient day reconciliation.
  • Achieve departmental objectives by supervising staff, organizing workloads, and monitoring work processes and procedures.
  • Support financial planning by understanding the financial impact of Room & Board receivable and payable functions.
  • Monitor invoice approvals and perform reconciliations to ensure accurate tie outs.
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls and established compliance standards.
  • Protect organizational value by ensuring confidentiality and strict HIPAA compliance.
  • Contribute to Revenue Cycle and organizational goals by completing related tasks and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Strengthen relationships with inpatient units through timely invoice confirmation and prompt payment processing.
  • Review escalated accounts, investigate issues, determine appropriate next steps, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead the team to operate efficiently, meet deadlines, and perform to industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Hospice Room & Board processes, including invoice processing.
  • Strong experience with multistate Medicaid.
  • Experience in budgeting, process management, and accounting functions.
  • Proficiency with financial software, forecasting, and accounting principles, including Statements of Financial Accounting Standards.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls.
  • Exceptional thoroughness, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex financial processes.
  • Skills in supervision, staffing, and team leadership.
