Job description

A Level or B+ Automotive Mechanic | $30–$50/hr | No Weekends

Location: Eugene, OR
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:15 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Range: $30–$50/hr Depending on Experience
Earning Potential: $80,000–$120,000+

Position Summary

We are hiring an experienced A Level or High-Level B Automotive Mechanic for one of the most respected independent repair shops in Eugene, OR.

This family-owned operation has been serving the community since 1952 and has built a reputation for solving the problems other shops can't. In fact, local dealerships regularly send difficult diagnostic work their way. With a 17+ bay facility, modern equipment, dedicated support staff, and a strong car count, this is an outstanding opportunity for a mechanic who wants to work alongside some of the best in the industry.

We're looking for a professional who can confidently handle advanced repairs, diagnostics, and drivability concerns while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and light European vehicles
  • Perform advanced electrical, drivability, and drivetrain diagnostics
  • Complete brake, steering, suspension, and general mechanical repairs
  • Test and repair charging systems, batteries, starters, and electrical components
  • Utilize modern scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair software
  • Accurately document findings and repair recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and fellow team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
  • Deliver quality repairs while meeting productivity goals

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
  • A-Level Mechanic or High-Level B Mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities
  • Proven experience diagnosing electrical, drivability, and complex vehicle concerns
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • ASE Certifications are a plus
  • Comfortable using modern scan tools and shop technology
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first mentality
  • Valid driver's license
