Job description

Student Worker

The student worker for the Enrollment Management and Career Readiness office will perform basic secretarial work and assist the office staff in their day-to-day duties.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled JALC student, with a minimum of 6 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Have a high school diploma
  • Have a 2026-2027 FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid office

Essential Functions & Position Duties

  • Greet, welcome, and assist students, staff, and faculty who come into the office.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as answering phones, taking thorough messages, making copies, setting appointments, and making deliveries to other offices on campus.
  • Book tours with appropriate staff and assist with tours, as needed.
  • Assist with preparing for recruitment events and assisting on the day of the event, as needed.
  • Maintaining proper inventory counts of promotional supplies.

Non-Essential Functions of the Position

Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.
