JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
An employee in this classification performs routine clerical library duties under the supervision of a professional Librarian or a Library Aide. Examples of work are: shelving books and magazines, "reading" shelves to determine if the books are in their proper place, finding books for patrons, mending books and magazines, and performing related duties as assigned. Student pages may be required to work evenings and Saturdays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION PROCESS
At the time of application, a candidate must:
  1. Be a citizen of the United States or resident alien with the right to work in the United States; and
  2. Have reached their 15th birthday; and
  3. Be currently enrolled in high school.

NOTE: The City of Livonia continuously accepts applications for the Student Page position, however, this does not necessarily mean there is a current vacancy. Applications are retained for six months and if/when a vacancy occurs, applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received.
