Job description

Responsibilities

  • Inspect empty trailers at the loading dock to insure they are clean and clear after loading and take appropriate action as needed
  • Move out going products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift
  • Wrap pallets with cellophane, secure load/pallets and make sure shipping labels are in place as needed
  • Transport items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan
  • Locate the proper slot on the trailer for the order, set it in place and secure the load when complete
  • Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area
  • Assist Order Selectors and perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor
  • Document the audit results which will include daily data entry and discuss the audit results with the leadership team
  • Communicate effectively with the team members with peers in various functions
  • Make use of quality checking methods to confirm the quality of goods supplied to the stores
  • Handle store complaints and adjust credits to stores
  • Inventory management software office system
  • Additional tasks can be added at request of management

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, stock pickers, ), and OSHA Forklift Certification strongly preferred
  • Preferably loading/unloading experience
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, and kneel
  • Has experience working in a grocery warehouse (preferred)
  • Bilingual- Spanish/ English (preferred)
  • Great communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Skilled in counting moving goods
  • Proven auditing experience and math skill
  • Can work under pressure
  • Professionalism and organization
