Job Summary
The Project Manager II is responsible for planning, executing, and closing industrial insulation projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met. This role manages multiple mid-to-large scale projects and serves as the primary point of contact between clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of industrial insulation projects, including estimating support, planning, execution, and closeout
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; track progress and adjust as needed
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts related to insulation systems
  • Maintain strong client relationships; provide regular project updates and resolve issues promptly
  • Oversee procurement of materials such as insulation, cladding, and related systems
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance
  • Support and mentor junior project managers or coordinators

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7-10 years of experience in industrial construction, with a focus on insulation, mechanical systems, or related trades
  • Experience with estimating or preconstruction processes
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of industrial insulation systems (hot/cold insulation, fireproofing, cryogenic systems, etc.)
  • Knowledge of project management principles, budgeting, and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Familiarity with contract types and construction documentation
  • Valid state driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industries such as oil & gas, power generation, chemical plants, or manufacturing
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Knowledge of coatings, scaffolding, or related industrial services
  • Experience in Engineering a plus
