The anticipated salary range for this role is between $57,000.00 and $95,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative, clerical, and organizational support to senior executives and teams within the Coverage and Capital Markets vertical, with primary support for the Latin America, Asia, and Canada divisions. This role is critical to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, effective communication, and coordination across regions and stakeholders.

Role Objectives
  • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings across multiple time zones, and coordinate internal and external appointments for executives and team members.
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external use.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including itineraries, visas where applicable, and expense reporting in accordance with firm policies.
  • Support planning and execution of meetings, events, and offsites, including logistics and materials preparation.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external counterparties, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Provide general administrative and office support as needed to support business operations and team effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills

3–5 years of experience in an executive assistant or senior administrative support role. Prior experience in a financial institution or professional services environment is preferred, but not required. Experience supporting senior executives and/or teams within fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Ability to work effectively with global teams and manage competing priorities across regions.
