Job description

End-to-End Flow Design 
  • Design and evolve user flows across the full product lifecycle, including onboarding, funding, withdrawals, dashboard, gifting, public site, and student experiences 
  • Translate business requirements and product goals into clear, intuitive user journeys and interaction models 
  • Identify friction points and opportunities to improve conversion, usability, and engagement 
Prototype Development & Research Support 
  • Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes (primarily in Figma) to support user testing and concept validation 
  • Partner closely with UX Research to design experiments, usability tests, and A/B tests 
  • Iterate designs rapidly based on user feedback, insights, and analytics  
Figma & Design System Ownership 
  • Build and maintain scalable design components, libraries, and reusable patterns within Figma 
  • Leverage tools such as Figma Make / AI-assisted design to accelerate ideation and prototyping 
  • Ensure consistency across public and authenticated experiences through strong design system adherence  
Cross-Functional Collaboration 
  • Work closely with Digital Product Managers, engineers, and researchers to deliver high-impact experiences 
  • Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional discussions to align on priorities and constraints 
  • Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership 
Public & Authenticated Experience Support 
  • Contribute to public site experiences and authenticated application flows 
  • Ensure cohesive UX across acquisition, onboarding, and in-product experiences 
  • Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals when designing solutions  
  Innovation & Concept Exploration 
  • Develop innovative concepts and new product ideas through rapid prototyping and experimentation 
  • Explore emerging UX patterns, AI-assisted design approaches, and new interaction paradigms 
  • Support early-stage initiatives and strategic product bets 
  Email & Lifecycle Experience Design 
  • Design user journeys and flows for lifecycle communications (e.g., onboarding reminders, nudges, re-engagement) 
  • Draft and refine email copy in collaboration with product and marketing teams to ensure clarity, tone, and effectiveness 
  • Validate messaging through testing and research where applicable  
  Continuous Improvement & Measurement 
  • Partner with Product and Research to measure the impact of design changes (conversion, drop-off, satisfaction) 
  • Use data and insights to continuously refine and improve user experiences 
You might be a good fit if you... 
  • Have 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, with a strong track record of owning and delivering end-to-end digital experiences  
  • Are a strong flow thinker - you naturally design clear, intuitive user journeys across complex products (onboarding, dashboards, transactions, etc.)  
  • Are highly proficient in Figma, including prototyping, component systems, and emerging tools like Figma Make / AI-assisted design  
  • Have hands-on experience designing prototypes for research, and partnering closely with UX researchers to test and iterate on ideas  
  • Understand both public (marketing) and authenticated product experiences, and can design seamlessly across both  
  • Are comfortable leading and guiding design work, including directing and reviewing work from contract designers to ensure quality and consistency  
  • Thrive in cross-functional environments, working closely with product managers, researchers, and engineering teams  
  • Can balance speed and quality, moving quickly from concept to prototype while maintaining a high bar for usability and polish  
  • Have strong communication skills, and can clearly explain design decisions to stakeholders and leadership  
  • Are comfortable contributing to content and lifecycle experiences, including drafting and refining email copy and user communications when needed  
  • Are curious and product-minded, always looking for ways to improve the customer experience and drive better outcomes
