This role will be performed in a remote setting, providing you with the flexibility to work from home while still being part of a dedicated treatment team. • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance abuse history alongside their mental health needs, determining appropriate treatment pathways.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both addiction issues and underlying psychological challenges, using data from assessments and client feedback to tailor interventions.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to encourage client participation and progress.
• Work collaboratively with team members including doctors, social workers, and case managers to ensure a holistic approach to client care, enhancing the overall treatment experience.
• Educate clients’ families about the recovery process and ways to support their loved ones, fostering a network of support that extends beyond therapy sessions.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client progress and treatment interventions, adhering to all HIPAA and regulatory standards to ensure compliance and quality care.

The clientele at our center includes individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, many of whom also face co-occurring mental health disorders. Our therapists work with a diverse population encompassing different backgrounds, ages, and social contexts, requiring a sensitivity to various cultural and socio-economic factors that influence each client's unique struggle with addiction.

• A valid mental health license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or PsyD is required.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and training in addiction counseling and recovery interventions.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices relevant to substance abuse therapy and co-occurring disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate clients toward change.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment setting, particularly within a community health clinic or similar organization.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client documentation and treatment tracking.
• Involvement in outreach efforts to engage clients and their families, providing education and resources related to substance abuse recovery.
