As a Work From Home Smartplant Instrumentation professional, your daily responsibilities often include developing and maintaining instrumentation databases, updating wiring diagrams and loop drawings, and ensuring compliance with project specifications using SmartPlant Instrumentation software. You will regularly coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and vendors via virtual meetings and email to review design changes, resolve technical issues, and keep projects on schedule. Managing your work independently, prioritizing tasks, and documenting your progress are important aspects of the remote workflow. Depending on the employer, you may also participate in remote training sessions or contribute to improving departmental standards and procedures.
A Work From Home SmartPlant Instrumentation job involves using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), also known as INtools, to design, manage, and maintain instrumentation systems for engineering projects. Professionals in this role typically develop instrumentation datasheets, wiring diagrams, and loop drawings while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
