This position operates in a remote setting, allowing for a flexible work schedule tailored to the needs of both employees and clients. While you will primarily work from home, you will be embedded in the school environment, which means you will engage with students, families, and school staff regularly. Your daily responsibilities as a Licensed Master Social Worker will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting in-depth clinical assessments of students to identify mental health concerns and develop individualized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based approaches.
• Utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to deliver effective interventions that resonate with students’ unique needs.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensuring coherence with treatment plans.
• Collaborating with educators, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate care and provide holistic support to students.
• Participating in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss treatment progress and share insights for improving care outcomes.
• Empowering students and their families by delivering psychoeducation on mental health topics and available community resources to bolster support systems.
• Staying abreast of current research and developments in social work interventions, integrating new knowledge into clinical practices.
• Managing a diverse caseload, regularly monitoring treatment goals to measure progress and adjust as necessary based on student feedback and clinical observations.

You will primarily serve a diverse population of students within the Rochester, New York, school system. This role involves working closely with children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Understanding the unique cultural and socio-economic backgrounds of each student is essential for delivering sensitive, effective care that meets their specific needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license in the state of New York.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically focusing on providing psychotherapy services to children and adolescents.
• Proficient knowledge of various solution-based psychotherapy interventions and techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills necessary for engaging with students and families.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess client needs and adapt interventions accordingly.
• Ability to effectively contribute to a team-oriented environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

• Experience in school-based social work or similar settings.
• Familiarity with community resources in Rochester and the surrounding areas, specifically those geared toward supporting youth.
• Specialized training in youth mental health first aid or crisis intervention strategies.
