This remote role allows you to practice from the comfort of your own home while connecting with clients across California. • Conduct short-term, evidence-based therapy sessions via video format, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues for both cash-pay and insurance clients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapeutic techniques and tools to assist clients in setting achievable goals and building effective problem-solving skills.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as Perlman Clinic’s best practices.
• Ensure a compassionate, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to discuss their challenges and progress.
• Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment.

Your primary focus will be on serving adult clients who seek therapy for a variety of mental health issues under a supportive and empowering framework. You will be working with a diverse population that includes individuals from various backgrounds, lifestyles, and experiences. Understanding and respecting cultural differences in mental health perception will be part of your role in enhancing client engagement and treatment efficacy.

• Educational Background: A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Licensing: Candidates must possess a current and valid license to practice (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) in the State of California. You should either reside in California or be willing to relocate.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of direct experience in mental health counseling is expected, with a focus on therapeutic interventions and client engagement strategies.
• Knowledge Base: A solid understanding of mental health laws, ethical guidelines, and HIPAA regulations is essential for this role.

• Experience with online therapy platforms or telemedicine services will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment techniques, such as CBT and DBT, is preferred.
• Prior experience working with a similar patient demographic can enhance effectiveness in this role.
