Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills set top candidates apart. These attributes are vital to ensure accurate virtual inspections, clear documentation, and successful remote collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
A Work From Home PC-DMIS Programming job involves creating, testing, and optimizing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection programs using PC-DMIS software remotely. Programmers develop measurement routines based on engineering drawings and CAD models to ensure parts meet quality standards. They typically collaborate with quality engineers and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and refine programs. This role requires expertise in PC-DMIS software, GD&T, and experience with CMM machines.
As a remote PC DMIS Programmer, your day often involves writing and editing measurement routines using the PC-DMIS software, interpreting CAD data, and analyzing inspection results from CMMs. You may collaborate virtually with quality engineers, production teams, and sometimes customers to clarify requirements or troubleshoot issues. Regular tasks include reviewing part drawings, generating inspection reports, and supporting other team members by providing technical guidance. While the work is largely independent, effective communication and timely responsiveness are key, given the remote work setup. Staying organized and maintaining up-to-date records are also important parts of daily responsibilities.
