Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 plus commissions and bonuses

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary

The Associate Sales Representative supports business development initiatives by identifying prospective clients, cultivating referral relationships, and assisting senior sales professionals throughout the sales process. This position reports to the National Sales Manager or Regional Vice President and plays an important role in expanding LDSCO's retirement plan consulting services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, learning new skills, and growing into a successful consultative sales professional.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Prospect by phone, email, networking, and social media,

• Identify new clients, referral partners, and business opportunities,

• Support seminars, webinars, marketing, and community events.

Relationship Management

• Build relationships with CPAs, financial advisors, payroll providers, and business owners,

• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups,

• Develop long-term referral partnerships.

Sales Support

• Assist senior sales professionals throughout the sales process,

• Prepare proposals, onboarding materials, and client documentation,

• Maintain accurate CRM records.

Sales Performance

• Meet prospecting and sales activity goals,

• Develop consultative selling, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills,

• Expand retirement plan and industry knowledge.

Client Service & Team Collaboration

• Partner with Client Relationship Managers to deliver exceptional service,

• Respond to client inquiries and help resolve issues,

• Contribute ideas to improve sales and marketing efforts.

Professional Development

• Participate in training, coaching, and continuing education,

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability,

• Stay current on retirement plan regulations and industry trends.

Travel Requirements

• Primarily work from home.

• Travel locally for client meetings, networking events, training, conferences, and occasional company meetings.


Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, client relationship management, customer service, or retirement plan administration (TPA or record-keeper preferred),

• High school diploma or GED required,

• Strong verbal, written, and virtual communication skills,

• Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills,

• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities,

• Able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a team,

• Eager to learn consultative sales and retirement plan solutions.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling or administering retirement plans, including: 401(k), 403(b), Profit Sharing, Cash Balance, Defined Benefit Plans, Previous experience with prospecting, cold calling, networking, or lead generation. Experience using CRM software. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn technical products and communicate their value to clients.
