Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time, remote position based in Del Rio, Texas. Work Environment

The successful candidate will operate in a fully remote environment, delivering a combination of telehealth and face-to-face therapy sessions through our Community Health Clinic located in Del Rio, Texas. This flexible setting allows for a harmonious work-life balance, enabling counselors to serve clients in a manner that best suits their needs. Our clinic is open seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm, providing ample opportunity for counselors to design a schedule that aligns with their lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify tailored treatment strategies.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and build resilience, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, facilitating timely assistance to those in distress.
  • Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to deliver optimal treatment outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselor will serve a diverse population, primarily consisting of individuals seeking help for trauma-related disorders. This includes children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. Our clinic promotes a supportive and understanding atmosphere, adapting treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring they feel safe and valued throughout their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas.
