What is a Work From Home FedEx Contingency Driver?

A Work From Home FedEx Contingency Driver is a driver who is on standby to deliver packages for FedEx when regular drivers are unavailable due to emergencies, high package volumes, or special circumstances. While the title suggests 'work from home,' these drivers are typically contacted remotely and dispatched from home, but the actual job involves picking up and delivering packages in person. Contingency drivers are flexible, often working on an as-needed basis and may not have a set schedule. They play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining FedEx's service standards during unexpected situations.
