• Provide direct mental health treatment by screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and formulating individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions designed for children, families, and multi-family units, employing psychoeducation and group process strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress utilizing our electronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with agency policies and relevant regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities including training, continuing education units (CEUs), and clinical supervision to ensure the application of evidence-based practices.
• Actively engage in case management and coordinate multi-systemic support involving families, schools, and community agencies to enhance treatment outcomes for clients.
• Incorporate principles of Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) in all interactions with clients.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to share knowledge and insights, contributing to a collective approach to mental health treatment.

The counselor will work with a diverse range of clients, primarily focusing on children, adolescents, and families who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. This role emphasizes understanding the developmental needs of younger clients and tailoring services to foster their emotional and psychological growth. You will help navigate complex issues such as trauma, behavioral disorders, and family dynamics while contributing to client empowerment and resilience.

• A Master’s degree or doctorate in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an independent mental health license, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC, recognized in your state of residence.
• Strong proficiency with electronic medical record systems and computer applications, with excellent typing skills for documentation and communication.
• A demonstrated passion for making a meaningful impact in behavioral healthcare and engaging with clients sincerely and compassionately.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively while maintaining productive relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Experience in providing therapy within a community health setting, particularly with children and families.
• Previous involvement in trauma-informed care methodologies and culturally competent clinical practices.
• Background in case management services and collaboration with external stakeholders such as schools, social services, and family support providers.
