Location: Arlington, VA Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance Employment Type: Full-Time (W-2 or 1099) Overview Praescient Analytics is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to support our Department of Defense (DoD) and national security partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and software engineering, with the ability to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that transform complex datasets into actionable insights. This role requires both analytical acumen and technical creativity to solve real-world intelligence and defense challenges through the power of AI. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and implement machine learning systems and predictive models to support mission-driven analytics. * Study and refine data science prototypes, transforming them into production-ready ML solutions. * Develop and optimize algorithms using supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques. * Select appropriate datasets, data representation methods, and feature engineering strategies for each problem space. * Conduct data mining, statistical analysis, and model evaluation to ensure high performance and reliability. * Perform testing, tuning, and retraining of models to improve predictive accuracy and robustness over time. * Utilize data-oriented programming languages and visualization tools to translate raw data into meaningful insights. * Visualize and interpret data findings through dynamic dashboards, reports, and analytic visualizations. * Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and mission stakeholders to integrate AI/ML solutions into operational systems.
