Accident Reconstruction Expert Witness

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accident Reconstruction Expert Witness to join our growing team of expert witnesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering — with hands-on experience analyzing vehicle collisions, crash dynamics, roadway conditions, and contributing factors — and a proven ability to deliver clear, compelling expert analysis and testimony in legal cases. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer passionate about applying their technical expertise to support the legal process and uncover the truth behind complex accidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations and forensic analyses of motor vehicle accidents, including crash dynamics, impact forces, vehicle kinematics, roadway conditions, and contributing factors.

  • Perform on-site inspections, evidence collection, and measurements to accurately reconstruct accidents.

  • Prepare detailed written reports and expert opinions supported by engineering principles, data modeling, and physical evidence.

  • Provide expert witness testimony during depositions and trials — translating complex technical findings into clear, understandable opinions suitable for attorneys, juries, and other non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborate closely with legal teams to develop case strategies, identify key issues, and support litigation efforts with precise technical expertise.

  • Stay current on industry standards, crash investigation methodologies, and relevant regulations and technologies in vehicle dynamics and roadway safety.

RequirementsQualifications:
  • At least 15 years of experience in Accident Reconstruction.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering or a related discipline is strongly preferred.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or ACTAR certification is strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience in accident reconstruction and collision analysis.

  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, occupant kinematics, and safety standards in both low and high-speed accidents.

  • Previous experience serving as an expert witness or testifying in legal proceedings is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

BenefitsWhat We Offer:

    • Dedicated case management and administrative support from initial client intake to billing and collections that allows you to focus on doing what you love, delivering expert insights.

    • Marketing and business development initiatives designed to generate new case opportunities and expand your reach and visibility in the legal industry.

    • Peer review support and access to a multidisciplinary team of experts across Accident Reconstruction, Trucking, Digital Forensics, Human Factors, and related specialties.

    • Report writing support and professional development opportunities, such as deposition coaching, testimony training, and continuing education in your field.

    • Flexible engagement structure.

    • A collaborative environment where your expertise is valued, and your contributions directly influence case outcomes.

If you are an engineer with a passion for forensic analysis and helping uncover the facts behind accidents, we want to hear from you. Please submit your CV and any supporting materials highlighting your accident reconstruction expertise.
