We are currently seeking Traffic Control Flaggers to safely guide traffic through our work zones using signs and hand signals. Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, and work outside in varying weather conditions.
  • Discuss traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior.
  • Distribute traffic control signs and markers along the site in designated patterns.
  • Direct movement of traffic through the site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
  • Warn construction workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals to prevent accidents and injury to workers.
  • Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
  • Give hand markers to the last driver in line up of one-way traffic for Flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment
  • Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • County Coverage: Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Grant, Henry, Huntington, Jay, Madison, Tipton, and Wayne
  • 1+ year traffic control experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous outdoor work/construction experience
