A leading academic health system and medical school in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join an established advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support program. Applicants should be fellowship trained in advanced heart failure and ABIM certified or eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
The Department of Cardiovascular Sciences includes clinical sections in structural heart disease, electrophysiology and arrhythmias, heart failure, primary and secondary prevention, and vascular diseases.
The position is based at eastern North Carolina's premier cardiovascular facility. The six-story, 375,000-square-foot cardiovascular tower features four electrophysiology labs, six cardiac catheterization labs, state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic equipment, six cardiovascular operating rooms, and one hybrid operating room. The facility includes 120 beds dedicated to patients undergoing cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery procedures.

  • Invasive procedures will include heart catheterization and CardioMEMS implantation
  • Extensive 29-county referral network serving more than 1.4 million residents
  • Greenville is located approximately 80 miles east of Raleigh and 80 miles northwest of Atlantic Beach
