Work Environment

This Physical Therapist position is based onsite at our modern facility in Fairfax, Virginia. Our workplace fosters a supportive atmosphere where professionals engage in open communication and teamwork. Working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will find a balanced work-life experience that encourages professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, utilising both observational assessments and standardized testing methods to establish individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Administer targeted therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, aimed at reducing pain, restoring mobility, and improving strength.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians, to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on observed outcomes, to ensure each patient is on the path to recovery.
• Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and wellness strategies that support long-term health post-discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress, ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will be primarily working with elderly patients recovering from surgery, stroke, or other medical conditions that impair their mobility. The demographic we serve often has unique physical and emotional needs, and you'll play a critical role in helping them regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with a preference for advanced degrees (Doctorate or Master's).
• An active and unrestricted Physical Therapy License in the state of Virginia.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities to interact positively with patients and families.
• A genuine passion for improving patients’ lives through compassionate care and a collaborative spirit.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or rehabilitation settings is preferred. Candidates with experience working in a team-based environment are highly regarded.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to facilitate effective documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

This role provides a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
