Job description

National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriages worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Auditor
Location: Orlando, FL
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: Manager of Quality
FLSA Status: Exempt
Essential Functions:
  • Participates in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
  • Performs Internal auditing and evaluations.
  • Performs auditing of External essential maintenance providers - fuel service providers
  • Accomplishes data research across all FAA publications (8900's, DCT, Advisory Circulars, Regulations, etc.)
  • Performs Risk Analysis and Risk Control Development
  • Accomplishes Root Cause Analysis.
  • Responsible for updating computer databases with audit results.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • Exhibit the highest ethical standards of conduct in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must hold valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings.
  • Must possess a valid passport and the ability to work abroad.
  • 3-5 years of Aviation maintenance, inspection, or records experience.
  • Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR's)
  • Must pass a 10-year background check.

Preferred Experience:
  • IATA (IOSA) Trained
  • 757, 747 and/or A330 specific experience
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Experience with Reliability Programs
  • Technical Training (Training Instructor)
  • Web based audit application tools and software.
  • Previous Auditor experience

Supervisory Responsibility: No
Travel Requirements: Approx. 40% domestically & internationally
