Job Description

The Senior Director, Digital Experience Platforms is a senior technical leader responsible for the delivery, quality, and strategic direction of digital experience and platform solutions across a portfolio of client engagements. The role serves as a senior technology advisor to client stakeholders while leading architects, developers, and technical specialists across CMS, analytics, DAM, personalization, experimentation, and AI-enabled capabilities. The role partners with Client Services, Technical Engagement Leads, Project Management, Analytics, and other technical teams to connect technical execution with measurable client outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical direction and delivery across client engagements, overseeing architecture, quality, scope, timelines, budgets, and resolution of complex platform and delivery issues.
  • Design, review, and approve architectures across Contentful, AEM, WordPress, Drupal, DAM platforms, analytics solutions, personalization tools, and associated integrations.
  • Define and implement digital measurement, personalization, experimentation, and DAM frameworks using tools such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Optimizely, Bynder, and AEM Assets.
  • Drive adoption of AI tooling, automation, coding assistants, and AI-enabled digital experience capabilities to improve delivery efficiency, platform functionality, and client outcomes.
  • Lead technical discovery, requirements definition, solution scoping, client presentations, and strategic recommendations while partnering with director-level and executive client stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing technology, software development, or digital platform delivery, including 3+ years leading technical teams, with responsibility for delivery, architecture, or people management.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise CMS platforms including Contentful and AEM, with demonstrated delivery of production digital experiences and platform integrations.
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams across onshore and offshore delivery models, including workload distribution, capacity planning, performance management, and career development.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise digital measurement solutions using tag management, event-based tracking, data layers, consent-compliant analytics, and platforms such as Google Analytics 4 or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with enterprise DAM, personalization, and experimentation platforms, including metadata governance, workflow configuration, audience targeting, A/B or multivariate testing, and integrations with CMS, CDP, CRM, or marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience delivering client-facing technology programs in an agency or consulting environment using Agile/Scrum or comparable SDLC methodologies, including requirements, scope, technical recommendations, and executive-level communication.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience supporting technology programs within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences agency environments.
  • Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities such as semantic search, content recommendations, generative personalization, or AI-enabled content workflows into production digital experience platforms.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent, with examples of improved engineering workflows or delivery efficiency.
  • Experience advising clients on platform-native AI capabilities across Contentful, AEM, Optimizely, or related MarTech platforms.
  • Experience contributing to business development through SOW development, technical proposal reviews, capability presentations, or client growth initiatives.
