Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all Company and regulatory HS&E, Quality, and IT policies and procedures.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain required safety certifications.
  • Learn and follow Company welding procedures, blueprints, API standards, and work instructions under the guidance of experienced welders.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of welding equipment as directed.
  • Complete required safety assessments (HARC, JSA) before starting work and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Assist with welding, fabrication, and repair work while developing welding skills through on-the-job training.
  • Perform basic inspections and measurements to ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Complete job documentation and production records accurately and on time.
  • Safely operate welding equipment and tools to support daily shop operations.
  • Participate in training and certification programs to develop technical skills.
  • Work with supervisors and experienced welders to prepare for advancement to a Welder position.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, welding, or industrial environment is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to learn welding techniques and follow established procedures.
  • Must be willing to work long hours and be on call 24 hours/day
  • Basic knowledge of hand power tools, (i.e. grinders) is preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent work ethic, demonstrated by a positive attitude and completing your work on time
  • Basic computer skills, MS Word, Outlook, Excel & Power Point
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and nonverbal communication
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
