Main Duties & Responsibilities
This position requires the inspection of machined parts, sheet metal parts, and welded parts for proper material, quality workmanship, dimensional, and functional. The position requires moderate physical exertion, such as lifting, bending and considerable time standing
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the El Cajon, CA location.
• Ability to work independently from blueprints.
• Able to do inspection setup on surface plate using common inspection equipment.
• Operate hardness testing machine.
• Operate Optical Comparator.
• Perform receiving inspection and associated paperwork.
• Perform first article inspections.
• Report discrepancies by writing Rejection Notices.
• Perform inspection on outside processing and associated paperwork.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
• Required to pass eye test.
Qualifications
• Minimum of three years recent experience in a job shop environment.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal, welding and machining.
• Basic blueprint reading skills, including GD&T.
• Ability to do basic shop math functions associated with inspection setup procedures.
• Ability to read and understand Customer and industry specifications.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Be willing to work as a team.
• Ability to drive forklift.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
Compensation
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $25-$30
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
