About Us
Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Employees receive benefits provided by the University System of Georgia, including, but not limited to, medical and major medical insurance, group life insurance, participation in the Georgia Teachers' Retirement System, Optional Retirement Plan (Faculty and exempt employees only), Social Security and Tuition Assistance Program after six months of employment.
Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.
Job Summary
The Women's Basketball Manager provides operational support to the coaching staff by assisting with daily practice operations, game-day preparation, equipment management, facility organization, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the women's basketball program.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with practice and game-day setup and breakdown.
  • Prepare, distribute, collect, and maintain team equipment and uniforms.
  • Assist with court setup, hydration, practice drills, and game-day operations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the locker room, equipment room, and basketball facility.
  • Assist with inventory, administrative tasks, and team travel preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the coaching staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Basic knowledge of basketball rules, terminology, and equipment.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move athletic equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
