Wolverine Packing Company is searching for a Maintenance Technician who has experience performing maintenance functions, making repairs in electrical, mechanical and breakdowns, under minimal guidance from the maintenance supervisor.

6 day work schedule, varies by plant

Pay is flexible based on experience: $32-$38/HR

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Process Improvement, actively support the organization by providing ideas to improve.

• Willingness to receive additional training as needed to perform current and future duties and responsibilities.

• Troubleshoot, rebuild, overhaul, repair, maintain, modify and install various types of production equipment, tools and machinery as required.

• Read and understand drawing and plans.

• Ability to communicate parts and supplies required for repairs.

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks, assist in line changeovers, consult with other mechanics, operators, leads and managers.

• Perform other duties as required

• Work overtime as required to achieve maintenance schedules and minimize production impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

• Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment for 5+ years

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Experience working with PLCs or HMIs

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs frequently during time on duty

Lift/Carry/Push/Pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally

• Monitoring, rebuilding, and repairing equipment

• Ascending and descending from step ladders and extension ladders

• Notice and be able to attend and distinguish normal from abnormal noises in equipment and machinery. Listen and respond to fork lift truck safety beeps and public announcement intercom system

• Basic computer skills and ability to operate monitoring equipment required

• Physically able to respond timely to emergency situations at facility

• Repetitive motions including reaching, loading, inspecting, and touching product


2nd Shift - 3:00pm - 1:00am, Monday - Friday & every other Saturday
50-60 Hours per week.
