Job description

Title: Supervisor, Supply Chain

Location: United States-Georgia-Albany

This position is being recruited in support of a proposal and is contingent upon contract award.

The Warehouse Specialist Supervisor / Supply Chain Supervisor receives tasks from the Project/Warehouse Manager. Additionally, the Warehouse Specialist Supervisor will act as the on-site supervisor and POC for the Project/Warehouse Manager in their absence. Will be responsible for planning, controlling, and managing the successful completion of work for Defense Logistics Agency's Distribution at Albany, GA (DDAG) warehousing and distribution services Task Order (TO).

What you will be responsible for:

  • Provide overall supervision for contractor employees to include planning and managing the TO professionally
  • Allocate resources, manager personnel, and monitor operational performance ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ensure the work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources and that accurate and timely reports are provided
  • Oversee all aspects of cost control, risk management, logistics analysis, application of DoD supplies policies, and implementation of commercial best practices
  • Build, manage, and train a highly effective team of warehouse and distribution specialists
  • Serve as the backup liaison with the customer and hold full authority to act on behalf of the company regarding TO performance, as needed
  • Responsible for planning, controlling, and managing the successful completion of work
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting internal metrics for program performance
  • Creating, implementing, and executing program plans and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Refining business processes, with a focus on end-to-end inventory management
  • Experience in building, training, and managing a team
  • Perform all other duties as required

Qualifications:

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of three years of experience within the last five years using Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent software systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Warehouse Management, and Inventory Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of military supply chain processes and inventory practices.
  • This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted asylum).
  • Eligibility for a government CAC and Secret Security Clearance (if required).

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Distribution Management, Business Management, or Business Administration from a four-year institution
  • Proficient in teamwork, communication, presentation, and negotiation
  • Skilled in planning, managing, and completing projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Knowledgeable about aerospace and defense supply chains
