VAS Associate

Pay: $20/hr

Exciting NEW Pay Incentives at RJW!

  • Attendance Incentive - Up to $2400 bonus for good attendance. (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
  • Referral Bonus - Up to $500 per referral (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
  • Hiring Bonus - Up to $1000 (Refer to Policy for Rules and Details)
  • Step increase program- Pay will increase by $.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days (Material Handlers Only)
  • Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 p.hr
  • Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers will receive an additional $1.00 p.hr

Job Purpose:

Retail Fulfillment Packer 2 position will be the primary labor to completing all Co-Packing projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assembling various products and displays according to customer specifications. * Operate Wrap Heat Tunnel Machine. * Must be able to operate Ink Injector and Tape Machine. * Stacking cases onto pallets according to specifications. * Performing rework and inspection on the product. * Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time. * Ability to be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks. * Work on a continuous flow production line. * Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Attention to detail and ability to follow direction. * Awareness of quality standards and ability to identify defects in products. * Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.

Qualifications:

* Co-Packing or Warehouse experience is not required but preferred. * Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred). * PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database is a plus.Job

Education and/or Experience Required:

* High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.* Forklift certification a plus.

Mathematical Skills:

* Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. * Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons. * Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others. * Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion. * Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk. * Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. * Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time. * Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision. * Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones. * Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Work Environment:

* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
