Job description

Sunlight Batteries USA is growing, and we are looking for dependable team members who take pride in strong attendance, reliability, and quality work. As our plant introduces new automation and expands production, we are expanding our team and looking for a reliable, safetyminded Warehouse Operator who wants to grow with an innovative company shaping the future of industrial energy storage.

Please note: This position will require working a temporary daytime training schedule for the first 4–6 weeks. Training will be conducted Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. After training is successfully completed, the role will transition to the regular 2ndshift schedule going forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming raw materials and components.
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials for production orders and outbound shipments.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure accuracy.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials such as lead or lithiumion batteries.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations.

Equipment Operation

  • Safely operate forklifts (sitdown, standup, and reach trucks), pallet jacks (manual and electric), and other material handling equipment.
  • Operate dock equipment such as dock levelers, stretchwrap machines, and electric pallet stackers.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections, check fluid levels, and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Quality Assurance

  • Verify product labeling, packaging, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or nonconforming materials promptly.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with temperature variations, noise, and other conditions typical of warehouse environments.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident. Sponsorship is not available.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must demonstrate dependability and strong attendance.
  • 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience (battery industry experience a plus).
  • Ability to operate forklifts and obtain certification if not already certified.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory or warehouse systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in manufacturing, battery production, or related industries.
