Job description

About Formlabs:

Do you want to change how the world creates?

At Formlabs, we're building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we're helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.

We're a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you're ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.

Your Impact:ย

As the Operations Strategy Lead, you will be the "right hand" to our fulfillment leadership, acting as the primary architect for our most critical scaling initiatives. From launching new regional distribution hubs to re-engineering our NPI (New Product Introduction) readiness, you will translate executive vision into the physical reality of a world-class supply chain. If you are a high-level problem solver who thrives on navigating ambiguity and building the systems of the future, come help us shape how cutting-edge technology reaches the world.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development and execution of the global fulfillment and logistics roadmap, ensuring all strategic projects align with high-level growth objectives and margin targets.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of "heavy lift" operational transitions, including 3PL migrations, new warehouse launches, and the integration of advanced fulfillment technologies.
  • Direct cross-functional alignment for New Product Introductions (NPI), architecting the supply chain readiness plans that ensure seamless global launches across multiple regions.
  • Implement a culture of continuous improvement by identifying systemic bottlenecks in our Order-to-Delivery lifecycle and designing scalable solutions to eliminate them.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Product leadership to build robust "what-if" scenario models for market expansion, carrier shifts, and inventory positioning.
  • Drive the evolution of our global delivery strategy, moving the organization toward hyper-accurate "Estimated Delivery Dates" and optimized shipping margins through technical and process innovation.
  • Integrate diverse regional requirements into a unified global operating model, ensuring that as we scale, our processes remain consistent, efficient, and data-driven.
  • Mentor and influence a high-performing global team, acting as a force multiplier for the leadership team and fostering an environment of accountability and strategic thinking.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree (MBA or MS) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations strategy, logistics, or supply chain, with a proven track record of leading complex, global projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and turn complex challenges into clear, executable plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; a natural "diplomat" who can influence C-level executives and warehouse managers alike.
  • A proven ability to act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing the analytical rigor and project management discipline necessary to drive organizational transformation.
  • A results-driven leader with a passion for building world-class operations and a commitment to operational excellence.

Bonus Skills:

  • Professional certification such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or APICS CSCP.
  • Deep experience with global ERP/WMS implementations and e-commerce ecosystem integrations (e.g., Shopify Plus).
  • Prior experience in management consulting or a "Head of Staff" role within a global operations function.

Our Benefits & Perks:

  • Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 401K matching and access to financial advisors
  • Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)
  • Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)
  • Flexible Out of Office Plan - Take time when you need it
  • Ample on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats
  • Regular sponsored professional development opportunities
  • Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community
  • And of course... unlimited 3D prints
