Resident Costume Designer/ Builder:
Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse, a year-round professional dinner theatre in its 49th season, is seeking a resident Costume Designer who will be tasked with designing, building, creating, procuring, and maintaining costumes and soft goods for our nine-show season. They will additionally help to maintain Circa ‘21’s high level of artistic excellence by being an excellent communicator, working independently and meeting deadlines within the allotted time, budget, and scope. Position will begin mid-summer. We prefer that applicants have at least three years of experience in theatrical design, construction, and maintenance of musicals, plays, and theatre for young audiences. Our typical season includes six mainstage and three TYA productions, pre-show entertainment, as well as the occasional small production in our 120-seat black box space, The Speakeasy. All other performances take place in our 320 seat semi-thrust, 1921 former vaudeville house. Benefits include $850 per week, a medical insurance package, Simple IRA after 2 years; paid vacation; health club membership; and assistance with relocation.
