What are some unique challenges of working as a healthcare professional in rural areas of Wisconsin?

Healthcare professionals in rural Wisconsin often encounter challenges like limited access to medical resources, longer travel times for patients, and a greater need for generalist skills due to fewer specialists in the area. Building strong relationships with the community is essential, as providers may see the same patients regularly and become deeply involved in their care. Despite these challenges, many professionals find rural practice highly rewarding, with opportunities for broad clinical experience and close-knit teamwork.

Job description

We are seeking a General Manager to lead a unique, wellness-focused retreat in Wisconsin.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who values guest experience, team culture, and thoughtful operations. The property is built around intentional hospitality-where the environment, programming, and service all work together to create something meaningful for guests.
The ideal candidate understands how to balance operational performance with human-centered leadership, creating an experience that resonates with both guests and team members.
Location: Wisconsin
Compensation: Up to $120,000 + Bonus %20
What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations across the property
  • Lead and develop a team focused on service, care, and consistency
  • Ensure a seamless and intentional guest experience from arrival to departure
  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, labor, and revenue oversight
  • Partner with ownership on programming, positioning, and long-term vision
  • Maintain operational standards while preserving the unique identity of the property
  • Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and purpose

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a General Manager or senior leader in hospitality
  • Background in boutique hotels, retreats, wellness, or experiential properties preferred
  • Strong leadership presence with a focus on team development and culture
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage both performance and experience
  • Adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable in a more intimate, less corporate environment
  • Someone who values intentional hospitality, not just transactional service
