Maintenance Technician - NIGHT SHIFT (THIRD) 

Location: Crawfordsville, IN 
Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per Hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time Third Shift

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing manufacturing operation in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional with strong industrial electrical experience who enjoys solving complex equipment issues and helping drive operational excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to maximize reliability, minimize downtime, and support plant performance goals.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Install, modify, maintain, and repair plant equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, DC drives, and electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Maintain and repair 3-phase motors and associated controls.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
  • Operate maintenance shop equipment, including welders, cutting torches, drill presses, grinders, and band saws.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lift platforms as required.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records within a CMMS system.
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management and sourcing of maintenance materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
  • Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with:
    • PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics
    • Industrial electronics
    • DC drives and motor controls
    • 3-phase motors
    • 480V electrical systems and below
    • Instrumentation and mA current signals
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including:
    • Gearboxes
    • Motors
    • Pumps
    • Air compressors
    • Drive systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications.

Preferred

  • Technical, vocational, or trade school education.
  • Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical certifications.
  • CMMS experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Additional craft certifications or licenses.
