Job description

TBest Services is hiring a skilled Panel Wiring Technician to support our client, a manufacturer of industrial control panels and electromechanical systems. This hands-on position involves assembling electrical panels and completing accurate point-to-point wiring using blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

The ideal candidate has experience in electrical wiring, panel assembly, electromechanical assembly, or another related technical field. Candidates with transferable wiring and assembly experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire industrial control panels, electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and related electromechanical equipment.
  • Perform accurate point-to-point wiring according to electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Read and follow Bills of Materials, assembly drawings, work instructions, and other production documentation.
  • Mount terminal blocks, relays, circuit breakers, contactors, switches, power supplies, DIN rails, wire ducts, and other panel components.
  • Cut, strip, label, route, crimp, terminate, and connect electrical wires.
  • Install terminals, ferrules, connectors, contacts, heat-shrink tubing, and cable-management materials.
  • Verify wire numbers, conductor sizes, terminal locations, connection points, and component placement.
  • Route and secure wiring neatly to maintain professional workmanship and proper organization.
  • Inspect completed panels for wiring accuracy, secure connections, correct labeling, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and correct basic wiring, termination, component-placement, and assembly issues.
  • Perform continuity testing and basic electrical verification when required.
  • Work with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve discrepancies involving drawings, materials, or assemblies.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel assembly, electrical assembly, electromechanical assembly, or a related hands-on technical environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, or technical drawings.
  • Experience with point-to-point wiring is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with wire cutting, stripping, labeling, routing, crimping, and termination.
  • Ability to use wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, drills, screwdrivers, hand tools, and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Reliable attendance, consistent work habits, and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with production team members.

Candidates with relevant experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Familiarity with terminal blocks, relays, contactors, breakers, switches, power supplies, DIN rails, and wire ducts.
  • Experience using a multimeter or performing continuity testing.
  • Experience building industrial control panels, automation systems, or power-distribution equipment.
  • Familiarity with UL 508A, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or related workmanship standards.
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform detailed wiring and assembly work for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for precise assembly tasks.
  • Ability to bend and reach while working inside electrical enclosures.
  • Ability to lift materials or assemblies weighing up to 25 pounds.
