What are wireline services?

Wireline services refer to a range of operations performed in oil and gas wells using a thin, strong wire called a 'wireline.' These services are critical for well intervention, maintenance, and evaluation. Wireline teams use specialized tools attached to the wire to gather data, perform logging, and conduct repairs or adjustments inside the wellbore. The information and tasks performed using wireline services help operators make informed decisions about production and reservoir management. Wireline services can be classified as open-hole or cased-hole, depending on the stage of the well.

How much do wireline operators get paid?

Wireline operators typically earn between $50,000 and $80,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and certifications. Overtime and shift work can increase total compensation, and familiarity with tools like logging equipment is often required.

What jobs pay 500,000 a year in the US?
