Job description

Wireline Lead Operator
SUMMARY
The Lead Operator will be responsible for safely performing Wireline related duties at the well site and in the shop, while ensuring compliance with all regulations applicable to Wireline explosives operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare for jobs by performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkout
  • Lead rigging up and down the wireline surface and downhole equipment
  • Assist in tool string make-ups and assembly of downhole logging tools including perforating guns, pipe recovery, and setting tools
  • Maintain, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface logging equipment inclusive of: mechanical devices, logging head, explosive setting tools and perforating hardware, cement bailer systems, pressure control components
  • Receiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity
  • Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop
  • Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations
  • Maintaining well site/DOT records and communications as required
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to promote safe and efficient operations
  • Supervise and train other Wireline Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well site
  • Promoting and maintaining good customer relations
  • Communicate with co-workers, superiors, company men, and rig supervisors on the well site
  • Perform other related or site specific duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess and maintain valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 year previous experience as a wireline operator required
  • Must be able to pass comprehensive ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) background check
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of down hole tools
  • Must possess knowledge of the applications of explosives used in the wireline business
  • Must possess knowledge of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) and applicable State laws
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills

COMPUTER
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings
