Make an impact with NTT DATA
Join a company that is pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We are renowned for our technical excellence and leading innovations, and for making a difference to our clients and society. Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion - it's a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team.

Senior Network Engineer responsibilities include managing and optimizing in-house and cloud-based networks, developing and implementing network security protocols, and troubleshooting network issues. You have extensive experience managing a hybrid network (Azure preferred) that is highly available and fault tolerant. Experience with and an expert understanding of firewalls is a must.

The primary goal of the Senior Network Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. This position is expected to be the subject matter expert and "go to" individual on the team to troubleshoot complex problems nobody else can solve.

Our ideal candidate is cool under pressure, an expert problem solver, highly motivated, a team player but also able to work independently, and is someone that is constantly looking for ways to make improvements and isn't afraid to bring those suggestions forward.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancer, VPN, QoS)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Perform cost estimation and identify mechanisms for cost control and containment
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutions
  • Ensure security and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve network related issues
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in networking
  • Document and maintain network environment configurations and diagrams
  • Provide assistance and mentoring to other IT team members
Qualifications:

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior role
  • Deep understanding of network protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytics tools
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud (Azure preferred) networks
  • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls
  • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting VPN IPSEC tunnels
  • Professional certifications in networking
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Would be a Plus

  • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting an IPS/IDS
  • Experience with Fortinet network devices and firewalls
  • Experience designing and managing networks to optimize VoIP traffic
  • Experience with F5 BigIP devices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field

This is a home office-based position, with some travel for company/salesmeetings as well as to client sites. Flexibility to work outside of standard 9am-6pm local time zone hours may be required at times to support this global team.

Target Base Salary: $90,000K-$100,000K (based on experience) plus variable commissions.
