Our Wire EDM team helps make those parts.
We are looking for an experienced Wire EDM Programmer / Operator to join our precision manufacturing team in Hatboro, PA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complex setups, close-tolerance work, high-accuracy machining, and solving the kind of manufacturing problems that do not come with easy buttons.
We offer the option of working 4 ten hour shifts, Monday - Thursday. Enjoy a long weekend!

What You'll Do
  • Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM equipment for precision components
  • Work with Mitsubishi and Fanuc Wire EDM machines
  • Perform Wire EDM programming, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and process adjustment
  • Produce close-tolerance parts for medical device, aerospace, defense, space, and high-tech applications
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, datum structures, and inspection requirements
  • Perform taper cutting, skim cuts, slug retention strategies, and fine-finish Wire EDM operations
  • Inspect your own work using precision inspection tools and metrology equipment
  • Support prototype, low-volume, and production EDM work
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, machining, grinding, and manufacturing teams
  • Maintain documentation, quality records, and process consistency
  • Help improve processes, setups, fixturing, workflow, and repeatability
  • Support a clean, organized, safety-focused manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Wire EDM programming, setup, and operation experience
  • Experience with Mitsubishi, Fanuc, or similar Wire EDM equipment
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • GD&T proficiency
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances and work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Experience with precision inspection and self-inspection
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Commitment to quality, documentation, safety, and continuous improvement
Bonus Points if you have experience with:
  • B-Axis Wire EDM
  • Taper cutting, fine finish work, skim cutting, and micro Wire EDM
  • Medical device, aerospace, defense, space, or precision contract manufacturing
  • Mastercam, Esprit, SolidWorks, DXF, STEP, IGES, or CAD/CAM workflows
  • Automated machine tending or System 3R automation
  • ISO 13485, AS9100D, FDA-registered, or ITAR manufacturing environments
  • Mentoring junior machinists, operators, or setup technicians

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to operate machinery, tools, controls, gauges, and measuring instruments.
  • Distinguish colors, displays, indicators, and measurement markings when performing programming, setup verification, and inspection-related tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with machinists, engineers, quality personnel, and production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Visually inspect parts, tooling, machine displays, blueprints, and measurement devices, including the ability to distinguish fine details and small dimensional variations.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tooling, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment and lifting devices when required.
  • Work around moving mechanical equipment, cutting tools, metal chips, coolants, lubricants, and other manufacturing-related materials.
  • Tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain regular attendance and work scheduled overtime as needed to support production requirements.
