USESI has an immediate opening for a Wire Room Associate within our Tucker, GA distribution center. We are looking for dedicated and team-oriented individuals to join our team.
Job Type: Hourly
Day/Shift: 2nd Shift
Function:
The position of the Wire Associate is responsible for safely completing all aspects of wire cutting and warehouse functions including the, storing, handling, shipping, and preparation of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Safely and accurately coils, respools, cuts, or picks designated lengths of wire per procedure.
  • Safely operates all necessary equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and coil/reel machines, in the work area according to manufacturer, health & safety, training, and procedural standards.
  • Submits / communicates wire cutting tool and machinery maintenance issues.
  • Verifies the quantity and description of materials processed by checking merchandise against the work order.
  • Accurately places materials & reels of wire on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas, in an accurate and orderly manner.
  • Reports/records any discrepancies to wire room leadership.
  • Reviews orders to determine they were picked correctly.
  • Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Competencies:
  • Basic reading skills.
    • Must be able to read order/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
    • Be able to identify products by size, type, style, color, product code, AND Lot#.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to understand and execute instruction.
  • Essential customer service and communication skills.
  • General understanding of the warehouse
  • Willing to learn and work in a team environment.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions in English.
  • Ability to move/lift to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to withstand temperatures of a typical warehouse environment.
  • Ability and desire to learn warehouse and company operations.
