Northrop Grumman is looking for a UI/UX Engineer to support our Advanced Technology Software Engineering Team. As a member of the Software Engineering department you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, superconducting foundry engineers, and software engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Design UI/UX to enable high user adoption of the final software product

• Collaborate with users to identify design improvements to reduce engineering effort of our new application

• Work with the software engineering teams to plan/scope work to be non-interfering with fast-paced project milestones

Basic Qualifications for UI/UX Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience

• Working knowledge in one of the following languages: C++, Winforms

• Experience in developing UI/UX interfaces with legacy applications

• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications for UI/UX Engineer:

• Experienced software developer that can support additional backend software development tasks in addition to UI/UX updates

• Experience developing WinForms applications and supported complex legacy software suites

• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

• Utilized Atlassian software suite

• Experience working within an agile scrum framework
