Description

Bill’s Distributing, Ltd. (BDL), an industry leader in beverage distribution, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our fast-growing team as a Wine and Spirits Account Manager and Business Developer. The purpose of this role is to grow all brands in the Bill’s Distributing wine & spirits portfolio. If you’re looking for a collaborative team atmosphere in a fun and competitive industry, look no further! This position is location independent working with our award winning products in our wine and spirits portfolio!

Essential Functions
  • Cold Call/Open new accounts
  • Produce written objectives for every sales account, on each assigned route
  • Understand and perform the structured “Sales Process” in each account as required
  • Understand and adhere to company Sales and Merchandising Standards
  • Operate within all assigned sales budget parameters
  • Develop and maintain excellent rapport with all assigned accounts
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels in all assigned accounts
  • Communicate to customers any product price changes as needed
  • Complete and submit a daily sales report
  • Collect money from assigned accounts, in accordance with the state law and Bill's Distributing Ltd policy
  • Adhere to company standards regarding sales route book and vehicle maintenance
  • Sell-in and conduct on-premise promotions, as needed
  • Maintain and adhere to proper call frequency and established call times for sales accounts
  • Monitor all competitive activity and report findings as needed
  • Deliver “hot shots” as required
  • Sell all products/packages, without personal bias
  • Promote responsible consumption of Bill's Distributing, Ltd products
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or business-related field;
  • 2 or more years of wine & spirits sales experience preferred,
  • Or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism
  • Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning and collaboration skills
  • Solid understanding of industry regulations
  • Proficient computer software skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Mobility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet all deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance standards
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move case product or materials, up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to use hands for phone or computer work; reach with hands and arms for various activities; sit frequently or for extended periods
Working Conditions/Environment
  • Typical office environment while working on site
  • Work is frequently performed at customers’ locations
  • Works weekends, special events and holidays, as needed and/or as scheduled
  • May be required to work extended hours
